Qualcomm barred from using Broadcom 3G patents (Reuters)

Reuters - A federal judge in California ruled
on Monday that wireless chip maker Qualcomm Inc must
immediately stop selling third-generation, or 3G, WCDMA
cellular chips that infringe on the Broadcom Corp
patents.

Motorola settles outstanding patent disputes with Metrologic Instruments (Canadian Press)

Canadian Press - SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Cellphone maker Motorola Inc. and Metrologic Instruments Inc. said Monday they have settled all outstanding patent infringement disputes between the two companies for an undisclosed amount.
