Samsung Soulb 9mm Candybar Phone Announced
posted in Cell Phone News |Korean electronics giant Samsung today announced the launch of Soulb, a candy-bar version of its Soul (or Spirit of Ultra) handset. Covered in an elegant metallic body, softly brushed with a hairline pattern, the Soulb’s minimalistic design measures a mere 9.9mm thin.
The Soulb is equipped with features such as an embedded 3.0-megapixel camera with Power LED, office document viewer and editor, full-speed Internet browser and Bluetooth 2.0. Entertainment features such as a music player, video editor and recorder and FM radio with RDS are also integrated within Soulb. And 1GB of internal memory and microSD slot offers sufficient space for users to store music and pictures.
“Soulb is an important stepping stone for Samsung.” said Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecom Business. “Soulb proves the world that Samsung is not only a predominant leader in selective form factors, but that it continuously seeks after becoming the leader in all variety of form factors, including slider, clamshell and bar.”
The Soulb will be available in five colors: Soul Grey, Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Pink and Amethyst Violet and will first become available in Germany early June, with other countries and regions shortly after including Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia (China), Southwest Asia, Southeast Asia, and South America.
