Adobe is releasing a new version of its Flash software that runs on the latest high-end mobile phones.

The San Jose, Calif.-based maker of Acrobat, Flash and Photoshop software plans to bring a full PC version of its Flash video player to smartphones next year.

Developers will be able to design visually rich software that works on smartphones, eliminating files from appearing in garbled form on phones.

The company will be previewing its Flash Player 10 for smartphones at this week‘s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

“Smartphones with Flash Player 10 running on Google‘s Android, Microsoft‘s Windows Mobile and Nokia‘s Symbian S60 platforms should be on the market next year,” said David Wadhwani, Vice President of Adobe’s Platform Business Unit.

Adobe is still working with Apple on an iPhone version.
